On June 8-10 we took a group of 110 adults and youth to the HEB Foundation Camps north of Leakey for our annual 4-H Camp. We had youth and adults from Real, Kinney, Sutton and Blanco Counties participating in camp this year. Activities included swimming, shooting sports, arts and crafts (such as leather tooling, building a sundial, foil art, and modeling clay) dancing and the most important event the SHAVING CREAM FIGHT. I know it was a successful camp because the adult leaders said everyone in the cabins went to sleep quickly and no one wanted to get up in the mornings because they were still tired from the previous day of activities. The leaders also said that the kids slept all the way home. Thanks to all of the members that went to camp and all of the leaders that helped with the activities. Camp was great and I look forward to next year.

It is time to order state Market Lamb, Breeding Sheep & Market Goat validation tags for the spring major stock shows. These shows will include Kerrville, San Antonio, Ft. Worth, Austin, San Angelo and Houston. If you wish to participate in any of these shows you must have a state validation tag. The cost of tags is $7.00 each and orders must be turned in no later than August 27th.
